Panakkad: Hadia Center for Social Excellence (CSE) organized a treasure hunt competition as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The program was through the centers that were dedicated to the history and heritage of Malappuram, the memories of the freedom struggle and the signs of modernization. The treasure hunt passed through centers such as Kottakunnu, where the memories of Kunjahammad Haji are remembered, Valiyangadi, where the stories of Malappuram martyrs are told, Kodappanakkal Tharavad, which was an inspiration to the strugglers, Malappuram MSP, Collectorate, Passport Office, Maadin Academy, Malayalam Manorama Office etc. Mampad MES College became the champions in the competition in which around 10 student teams of 5 members each from different cams of the district participated. Thootha DU IDC Wafi Campus bagged the second position and Pranavam Arts and Sports Club bagged the third position. Panakkad Rashidali Shihab Thangal hoisted the flag. Tirurangadi PSMO College Malayalam department teacher PK Muhammad Sharif, Aziz, Irshad and Naushad Hudawi gave a speech.
